A Bostin’ Black Country Welcome from YOU West Midlands

November 25, 2021

Some 70 Young People and Adult Volunteers from the YOU West Midlands member organisations found their way to the Great Hall at Dudley College of Technology on 25th November 2021 to welcome a fine array of civic and business leaders and those working in the field of youth engagement.

Visitors were delighted to hear the young people confidently expounding what their organisation has meant to them and demonstrating the skills they have learnt. Lord-Lieutenant of the West Midlands, John Crabtree OBE, was ably shown the steps to save a life using CPR by members of St John Ambulance, and Wednesbury Fire Cadets brought along some of the kit they use whilst practicing fire-fighting or gaining an insight into the work of West Midlands Fire Service.
