Youth Organisations in Uniform West Midlands (YOUWM) is looking for a talented young volunteer to join our growing Digital Team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain real-world experience, develop highly sought-after digital skills and help shape the future of one of the West Midlands’ most exciting youth charities.
We’re looking for someone who is confident using Microsoft 365, can create and manage databases, has experience with SharePoint, can design professional email signatures and enjoys using Microsoft Power Platform tools to improve the way organisations work.
At the same time we are developing a new, more inclusive and youth-focused website and want to bring this fresh, creative feel into our wider digital presence. Your ideas, creativity and understanding of what appeals to young people will be highly valued.
In return, you’ll work on projects that have a genuine impact on thousands of young people across the West Midlands, build a portfolio of meaningful experience and have your volunteering formally recognised as work experience for your CV, college, university or future job applications.

One of Our Young Trustees Izzy has been out and about this summer with Cadets, Scouts and Guides at Trouping of the Colour.
As a Young Trustee Izzy, alongside fellow Young Trustee Mia, bring a unique skillset and youth voice perspective to our team , leading the charity with a development-focused and innovative mindset .
Here’s what she shared from her Royal Day Out “Trooping the Colour 2026 was a remarkable display of ceremonial precision, where every movement, every uniform, and every note of the music reflected centuries of discipline and national pride.”

“Trooping of the Colour was such an unbelievable opportunity, a day full of fun, laughs and joy by all cadets and youth leaders alike. It was such an honour to be able to attend such a prestigious event especially during my year as County Cadet of the Year for Warwickshire and Coventry, to be able to represent cadets from across the whole county. It was such a phenominal experience and it was lovely to be recognised for my dedication to St John Ambulance.”
